Ever seen FSOL, or Aphex, or Orbital, or Hawtin, or any of the other
Elder Gods of IDM refer to their own music as "intelligent?"
And even if you *have* (which I doubt), what does the pretentiousness
of a musician during an interview have to do with the music she or he
makes?
My take on Omni Trio: this isn't (IDM + breaks), it's (trance + breaks).
