A YMO fan, I see... How available is the sadistic mika stuff? I haven't been
able to find anything by them, anywhere...
Some of my signature faves:
1. Severed Heads - Alaskan Polar Bear Heater (No. 2) - loop of some guy
saying "Well, you like that, wanna do it again?" over some wonderful
ice-crystal noises (from Blubberknife, Terse Tapes, 1982 - reissued
on Nettwerk re-release of "Since the Accident)
2. Coil - Exploding Frogs - very dreamy/jazzy in nature (from Stolen +
Contaminated Songs, Threshold House, 1992)
3. Negativland - Big 10-8 Place part 2 - good to throw in snippets a couple
minutes at a time for really surreal effect (from A Big 10-8 Place,
Seeland, 1983)
Putting in other stuff by the aforementioned bands is also recommended...
