I'm wondering if any of you ambient dj's would care to divulge your most
intimate and obscure/offbeat "secret weapon" tracks/noise that you hold
off on until just that perfect moment.
Here's my top 5 identification tracks:
1. Hosono, Haruomi - "Malabar Hotel" (from Cochin Moon, King Records, 1978)
Unbelievably 90's in sound!
2. Sadistic Mika Band - "Sumie no Kunie" (from Sadistic Mika Band, Harvest
Records, c.1974?)
3. 10cc - "I'm Not In Love" (from that album with the film editing equipment
on the cover..., c.1976?)
4. Suzuki, Keichi/Orb - "Sattellite Serenade Remix - Trans Asian Express"
(Wau/Mr. Modo vinyl, or Suzuki's "White Report" cd on EMI?, 1991)
5. Laibach - (there's a 2min. snippit in the middle of a track on the
"Macbeth" album with a rain storm, sheep, and a warped piano that
you can work in and out for a long time).
