Future Music is a British magazine which is all about keyboards, samplers,
effects pedals etc; most sorts of vaguely hi-tec musical equipment. It`s not
actually to do with music, eg reviews - mainly equipment. It`s aimed at
musicians, and not just electronic ones at that. I believe it`s the Future
Publishing group who run it. It costs about ?2 per month so that`s probably
about $5 in the States.
It`s main rival is Music Technology which is now called MT and deals in the
same sort of stuff... but it`s better because it does have a music review
section (which concentrates on the technical quality of an album, ie what
gear was used etcetera rather than the music as a whole). That`s a British
magazine too, same price but different publisher...
djkc: "Waveform - Transmission Vol. 1" is the name of Jeff Mills` album so I
doubt it`s actually Mills doing the PA - he`d probably use his own name.
Will-E: I`m not sure my hard drive could cope with a FAX discography!
Does anyone read "Under One Sky" magazine? It`s from Brooklyn and is
available in Groove Records, NY, and most other shops in the States.
Lastly: how do I subscribe someone to idm? His email no is
C.B.Lovatt@herts.ac.uk .
