Ummm, guys, is this little flame-fest in response to Todd's message to his friends on the list who have evidently asked him to make a tape for them and he was responding to queries as to its delay/status? Have either of you two heard his tape? Have either of you two requested it? If not, then just what exactly are you rambling about? His post wasn't intended for you, as clearly stated in his heading for that section of his post. And if you have heard it, then stick to reviewing it, not aimless pontificating on what you think is boring or not kewl or phony phascades used to subvert the youth of the world. I thought this was the *Intelligent* Dance Music list...... ObIDM: The DJ played a Jean Michele Jarre track at a nightclub of which I was recently partaking. Is there something recently released by him? a Zoolookologie remix or something? Also, whatever happened to Pete Shelley? Did he grow up and become a producer or something? Or did he cash in and retire? Maybe my question is more who produced the Telephone Operator 12" (if Pete didn't do it himself) and where are they now? ObBackground: I was digging and turned this one up and gave it a listen with headphones and was impressed by the production. This resulted in the queries before you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael King mike%delta1@rex.cs.tulane.edu Delta Systems New Orleans, LA 70002 Voice: 504.837.9835 Fax: 504.837.9838 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Never under estimate the bandwidth of a station wagon loaded with mag tapes. -From the "kermit" manual ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The most recent remix from him is "Chronologie 4," which was released almost six months ago. The Mosaic remixes of "Zoolookologie" and "Oxygene VI" date back even farther, to spring/summer 1991. There's only one 'e' in "Michel", by the way. -- Lazlo (lazlo@unm.edu)

it was produced by martin rushent, who produced the human league in their glory days... Jon Drukman jdrukman%dlsun87@oracle.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.

Pete Shelley is touring with the recently reformed Buzzcocks. They have a fine new album called _Trade Test Transmissions_.
