I'd say that any good things you've heard about M83 are completely
warranted. I wouldn't go so far as calling them IDM (I don't even know
if I'd call Schnaussages IDM), but their sound is really awesome.
Kinda like if Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Mum, and maybe some of the folks from
the Morr stable all got together. Lush.
Schnauss's stuff to me is... very well done, but doesn't really have
staying power. It gets boring after a while. A lack of depth, I'd say.
Beautiful melodies, yes. Substance? Kinda.
