https://www.redeyerecords.co.uk/vinyl/67540-de-106-patrick-cowley-muscle-up-2-x-12'' if you're not familiar with patrick cowley, he was a producer making what i would best describe as IDM, in the sort of spacetime continuum vein of like, really nicely polished poppy tracks that have this sort of otherworldly scifi vibe to them. all synths, great programming, great playing. this guy was producing soundtracks for porn movies for many years and unfortunately died during the 80s AIDS crisis, but after his death a lot of his recordings sat around forever until being unearthed a few years ago and published. He is great. His track Seven Sacred Pools from the School Daze compilation is one of my favorite chill out tunes - sounds fresh today even though it was made in the 70s. Also should be noted that as Giorgio Moroder was to Donna Summer, Patrick Cowley was to Sylvester. A massive talent and massively overlooked.
