if you're not familiar with patrick cowley, he was a producer making what i
would best describe as IDM, in the sort of spacetime continuum vein of
like, really nicely polished poppy tracks that have this sort of
otherworldly scifi vibe to them. all synths, great programming, great
playing.
this guy was producing soundtracks for porn movies for many years and
unfortunately died during the 80s AIDS crisis, but after his death a lot of
his recordings sat around forever until being unearthed a few years ago and
published.
