YES !!! Especially opening with Ae's 2nd Bad Vilbel on very low
volume - what an absolute wasted opportunity. We've been fortunate
enough to have friends bring over a reel with CC vids on it and
screened it in our lounge on a HUGE system with a HUGE screen (Barco
projector) and wow! *that* really kicked. It almost has to be a wall
of sound to which those visuals of the robotic insect work extremely
well to form a whole experience.
TG after that the volume was increased... obviously somebody told
somebody to turn the knob...

What did you (the collective list-members who've seen this) make of
Flex? What was he saying with the piece? Is it about the recurring
cycle of domestic violence? Duh? Am I very dumb - or what? (Ha ha,
don't answer that one!) Apparently this was the first screening of
Flex outside of the installation space in the UK it had been designed
for.
For me the prize moment was SQPR's Come on My Selector video - so
well melded picture to sound. Everything just fitted perfectly. And
the screening ended on Monkey Drummer, which was awesomely
synchronised. Suffice to say, the guy's great!
This was the only screening we attended at the Resfest.
