// 2002.ND Just a short overview of what we are up to: The next release on 2.nd will be a online-only release by Galaktan from Estonia. "Videoton" will contain 3 high quality mp3/ogg files: One track from Galaktan's upcoming LP on Kohvi, an exclusive track plus remix by endekks. The artwork will be done by Justin Van Slembrouck. The release will be available as a free download from our website in March. Christophe has just finished the recordings for the upcoming Nitrada EP "0+ (Soundtrack for no movie)". Several artists are now working on clips for each song which will accompany the release online. The record will be released in May 2002. Furthermore we are working on a remix record of Giardini di Miro's "Rise and Fall..." album. Styrofoam, Thomas Knaak (Opiate), James Tamborello (DNTEL, Figurine), Isan, Herrmann & Kleine and Turner have already confirmed their contribution to this project. Also in preparation: errorEncountered DVD. Expect both releases in August 2002. There was an album out a couple of years ago called "Tapping the Conversation" by The Bug (which was DJ Vadim and someone else?) which was "inspired" by The Conversation. I think it had some samples. First, a disclaimer: I work for EMusic.com. Everything is encoded at 128kbs. When we started out, broadband was not yet ubiquitous and we wanted a balance between file size and quality. A reencode at a higher bitrate (possibly VBR) has been on our wishlist for some time, but currently we're in the middle of being absorbed into Vivendi Universal and most feature development has been put on hold while we do the systems integration. *sigh* Still, you could do a lot worse than $10 a month for all you can download... My apologies for acting like a shill.
