He drank a bottle of wine and a bottle of vodka before the show in dublin last friday... this, strangley enough, effected his performace... he managed to play the first track from SMB about 5 times before completely losing control and being dragged off stage... some dj came on then for a bit, but he managed to get back onstage and he proceeded to jump on the decks (again)... he was dragged off again, then afx came on and played his set for him.... the poor guy came on to shouts of "Come to Daddy!!" after afx finished his set... these dicks continued to shout abuse at him throughout, which probably didnt make him feel much better and probably contributed to his descent into madness... thankfully he's not dead.... skism... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

what I've been able to piece together is this: this friday or saturday of last week, he played at a gig with richard and some other phlexers. He apparently drank a bottle of vodka (?) and it was apparently spiced, so he got pretty fucked in the head and kicked his laptop around a bit, after which rich dragged him off stage. then a message appeared on the rephlex front page with something like "bogdan will always be remembered" and a poster on the warp messageboard said he was dead. but then the rumor was retracted and the rephlex page bears no sign of a death. make of that what you want... -C peter woodman said at ÒRe: [idm] bogdan ?!?#@!@?Ó. It was the best night i've been to in a long time. The only rave I've been to where there was a mosh! Afx's set was brilliant... a mix of gabber, dark drum'n'bass, some of his own stuff and some old skool rave... the best set i've seen him perform... Sure there were shouts of 'get it together', people had paid money to see him. Even still, it was a top night and everyone I spoke to, although disappointed that Bogdan couldn't play, had a great time. Most people who showed up and were familiar with the artists excepted a bit of anarchy, it's all part of the show. I was a little back from the front, and there were definatley more people shouting for more afx than for more bogdan (I was one of the later), I distinctly remember my mate being quite pissed off at them at the time... Not that the majority of people there were being dicks, just the majority of the people making noise....

That much alcohol could cause some people's liver to shut down. I guess he was very nervous or something, but it's not the kind of thing you can safely make a habit of. I think an unspiked bottle of vodka will get you plenty fucked in the head if you drink the whole thing fast enough. Whatever happened I hope he's alright and sticks to just rolling his own joints or something in the future. Personally I don't like to have anything before performing/playing...I've DJed on LSD once and it's too complicated to be fun.
