There are some similarities. I also hear a bit of Stereolab and perhaps Broadcast in Lali Puna. But they have some very unique edges as well. All comparisons aside, Lali Puna is really good. Especially their upcoming album "Scary World Theory" (out in mid-Oct). you can download three non-album (and non-single) rmx's by MATMOS (who produced most of the new BJÖRK album) here: http://sjever.com/3.html all of these remarkable rmxs have a bit-rate of 192 kbps! catch the duck! enjoy, but safely =: ma_hovina > http://sjever.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

OK. not to be a dick but that page is really fucking annoying. The code alone weighs 96K. Also clicking on the ducks give you no indication the file has begun downloading. For the benefit of those people *not* wanting to have this much fun, direct links are provided below. No offense to the creators of this cute website btw.... these are WONDERFUL (and an odd duck aside): i fear this is as close as i'll ever come to having any creative contact with bjork, but i inadvertantly gave them the odd duck name for these mixes... you can see the story in the new urb (my 15 minutes cannot go in unheralded anonymity!)... i sent drew daniel an email about having believed i'd found a new bjork/ matmos track, only to have d/l'd it and listened to it and discovered that it was not matmos & bjork, but some weird disco house song called "disco balls" with the refrain "i've got disco balls / you've got disco balls / everybody's got disco balls!" or some such thing (not a german song as bjork said in the intvw).. anyway i sent an email to him saying that i didn't think this could be it and he replied saying that i'd be surprised to hear how different the stuff they've done really is, so i directed them to the file, told them that if it was her it was an odd duck, and a few days later, much to my disbelief i found something entitled bjork-crave (odd duck mix) on napster... so yeah. there you have it. gregory
