idm'ers- The Emanate Records MP3 web page has been updated with a new Lilienthal mp3 called 'will work for food' and a Solenoid mp3 called "El-Cali2-Disco". Hmm, each features some smartly-used portamento. New mp3's are tracks that are exclusive to the web site and a new one is added every month (15 so far), but I was really busy and didn't get to February's until this week. If you're interested in making IDM, I'd suggest the IDM-Making list, recently relocated (not by choice heh) to the yahoo groups (previously on e-groups). As far as a sound, I think an easy way to sum it up is "music that can work pretty good in a club setting, but is more rewarding to listen to at home."
