If you're interested in making IDM, I'd suggest the IDM-Making list,
recently relocated (not by choice heh) to the yahoo groups (previously on
e-groups).
As far as a sound, I think an easy way to sum it up is "music that can work
pretty good in a club setting, but is more rewarding to listen to at home."
For mp3's, get Autechre's "Tewe" then "Hub"
