the only trance release i've picked up in the last year or so (and it's not
very recent at all, it might be over a year now that i think about it) was
Sasha's "Xpander" release on Ultra. i think it dodges the trance-by-numbers
stereotype and actually backs up his reputation to an extent as he produced
these tracks himself. It's impeccably produced and put together, if nothing
else. And the tracks are actually pretty good IMHO. Much better than most
trance I've heard (which is not a whole lot, admittedly), and certainly than
whatever it is that BT is doing now (definitely not trance), not my tea.
