i think the crystal method does that with all their gear...bang on it when
it isn't even plugged in.
Waldorf microwave is good for evolving pads/drones etc and lots lots
more....
also, I've heard some cool basses come out of dx-7s not like an analog
synththough...and of course i've read about brian eno being able to make a
dx-7 sound like just about anything..uncluding nasty squelchy bass (a al
analog) but i'd never buy one.
they just aren't any fun....to me
