Sorry, I've lost the original message from the person who was asking about Jack Dangers! Anyway, I'd love to know if anybody has info on what he's up to; all I've seen since his departure from the U.K. is the Emergency Broadcast Network album, and I've seen a track called "Simulacra Pt. 1" on the Trance Atlantic comp. May I take this opportunity to agree with the person who posted complimenting IDMers on their netiquette! Especially TeeP for his verbal reviewing skills! (But not people who don't add anything to the discussion and just say "somebody tell me this is a sad sad joke" just because somebody mentions Josh Winks) OK? my fave is subliminal sandwich. might be hard to find really cheap, since it's a two disc release, but it's worth it. weird contrast- supercompressed sound sprawling across two discs. covers a lot of bases, but quite well. and take mr. danger's advice from the inside of the sleeve- play it two or three times when you're not really paying attention, *then* sit down and give it a really close listen. strangely, i did this quite by accident before i read the liner notes- i just threw the discs into the changer and they played a few times before i really listened. subliminal indeed. -rob (oh, and don't hold their presence on nothing against them...sometimes even nothing puts out good stuff!)

Has anybody heard the remixes of "Prime Audio Source" by Board of Canada and The Herbalizer on the Play it Again Sam label? Any reviews? The single you are referring to is "Prime Audio Soup". The remix by BoC is called "Vegetarian Soup". A very nice IDM'ish reinterpretation that doesn't quite stick to the original, but sounds very much like "Music Has The Right.." BoC. The Herbalizer remix on the other hand stay's true to original form, whilst an onslaught of phat beats takes the stage. A nice work-out all the way through, and Jack's Dub remixes are supreme as well. Biomuse did a remix on track number 5, but i totally dislike what they did with it.. a guitar, drum-drench of odd sounds that don't work well together. Check out www.brainwashed.com/mbm for more information, sounds, and resources. Hope this helps a bit, i could go on and on..
