My favourite lift is the Postman Pat theme on Tango N'Vectif. Found a weird new Rephlex release today.. can't remember the title, but it was 60 telephone contact adverts on a CD. On some sub-label said on the shop sticker. Picked up the promo of Mark Van Hoen's 'Playing with time'.. it's not bad.. there's a huge 30 minute ambient track on the end. Some tracks are a bit like reverberated shoegazing stuff put through a 'cd skipping toss (C) CiM' machine. Not as polyrhythmic as what some blurb I read would suggest. Quite melodic in places.

Is it on Touch ? Also, does anyone know what is with Mark Clifford ? I'd really love to hear some of his new stuff... didn't hear anything from anyone of seefeel crew for a while. I really love 'succour' , I haven't stop playing it since the day of it's release... definitely one of my all time favourites. bye rob np: the stranger (he is definitely v/vm, like jansky is too)

He is expected to contribute a track for a tribute to Christina Ricci, a CD compilation to be released with an upcoming issue of Mindfield Records' FAQT magazine. We anticipate it will be in March; if not, June. Confirmed artists as of the last update (1/11): Mark Clifford Phthalocyanine Kid 606 Lesser Mourning Cloak Rjyan C Kidwell Burning Rome Douglas Wolk/DJ Skip Tim Wisniewski 3 other artists are likely to contribute, but I think it would be inappropriate to name names at this time. Since this is all in progress, details are subject to change and all that...more than rumor, but less than finished. --Mark __ Burning Rome : SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14 > Distributed by Dutch East India Trading, Com Four, and Carrot Top < < http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome > < MP3 & RealAudio tracks >

Constant Rotation Album of the moment for me is Spool. Anyone else heard it? It's another chapter in the Labradford/Tortoise/Bowery Electric camp of electronic/indie guitar fusion, but it is just so fucking well done and lyrical that it can't be denied. I think she rocks. And she's hot as hell. Sexiest forehead in Hollywood. And I think her acting is quite good. Addams Family Values? She brings the house down by saying "Wait."
quoted 5 lines yeah, what's the deal w/ her? what happened to claire daines? ;)> >yeah, what's the deal w/ her? what happened to claire daines? ;) > > Clair Daines????? what? i saw her on Dave Letterman. she seems a bit (for > lack of a better term) stupid. >
I saw that appearance and she didn't come off very good. It's a rough job looking intelligent on a talk show -- Letterman himself doesn't alway pull it off. But you have to watch her act -- She is a light-up-the-screen type actress, and I bet I'm not the only one who drops everything to watch "My So Called Life" when it comes on MTV. And she made "Les Miserables" worth watching -- a neat trick, that. But if you be dissing her, me and the rest of the 40+ voyeur army got her back, so watch yerself!

What, you mean no one else found them? They're quite good, at my count, they're about the 12th & 13th ones in from the WHAM-O logo. One of them has to be BOC (it has that trademark 'Godzilla' sound), the other one's up for debate. I've been playing them for the last few months at gigs, people are always a bit confounded when they see you playing a frisbee, and are even more surprised when they realise it glows in the dark! -Våt. BTW- I saw about 15 on display at the Toys R Us in Paramus, NJ (corporate HQ, I believe). If anyone wants one, I'd be glad to pick one up for them. I'll only trade for rare Black Dog CD-R's, tho'. ____________________ Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge PO BOX 382864. Cambridge, MA 02238 http://www.tiac.net/users/sheket/index.html

Okay, the amount of responses I got from people actually interested in buying said frisbee sort of justified the suspicion I had that no one on IDM actually READS the posts they're replying to (or understands my somewhat cryptic/self-gratifying banter). I also assumed that some of you had seen the Skam frisbee (it does not glow in the dark nor contain the Wham-O logo anywhere within it's design aesthetic). The lock grooves do not contain music, unless the trackmaster/ortofon damaging din amplified at a certain 2nd anniversary show for a certain Boston-based collective is deemed 'catchy'. BOC? Godzilla? Blue Oyster Cult? Anyone? I'm horribly, horribly old. And lonely. -Våt. BTW- I've got my money on Portman, sorry Kid. Ricci is fine and all & is turning out to be a rather saucy 99% hussy playing hollywood fixture (did anyone else see the short film version of 'Red Riding Hood' on IFC where she strips? I kid you not. Really naughty. Wolf is played by some post-Baryshnikov Russian ballet type, who feeds her the skin of her recently-stiff grandma), but Portman's going places. 'The Professional'? Anyone? Amazing stuff, a bit ethically challenging perhaps but so, so engrossing. Even if she never made another movie (which I kind of hoped after seeing 'Mars') she'd be a whole page in my sticker collection. Ricci's got one scratch n' sniff at best. ____________________ Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge PO BOX 382864. Cambridge, MA 02238 http://www.tiac.net/users/sheket/index.html
