Here is a review of it someone else posted to another list. I don't the Norken 12" myself but will soon. Norken - Southern Soul - Reel Wow. What a fucking masterpiece. A1, the long track, is the only thing you need to hear on this. So beautiful, I don't really know what to say. or how to encapsulize this track into words. A simple washing chord melody, a minimal beat, some light airy stacatto synth sounds in the back.. slowly little sounds come creeping thru as the minutes (which feel like seconds) pass. We're graced with a bassline, a fleeting clap on the 2 and 4, then the sparse beat turns a bit more shuffley, but just a *little* to keep that minimal vibe.. all of a sudden you feel like dancing. what a god damn track. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

One of my favorite albums from 99. Deep lush techno/electronica available on both cd & 2xlp formats from most of your better online shops. Irene, I think U would probably like this. Its minimal, but quite nice. Its darn near playable from beginning to end. But I think there is a hidden track on the CD which is not on the vinyl(Lance, verification if you will)...and this has to be one of my favorite tracks, BTW. My cousin really likes this CD too! We warmed up the QEW---interstate in Toronto--with it. Its one of those Saturday, overcast days sorta Cds. However, thats just me...and in fact, its got its bright spots too! PICK IT UP!
