I'm afraid the problem is much worse than that. I ordered $70 worth of stuff from MFR/4th World by credit card 2 months ago and still haven't received it. I placed another credit card order three weeks ago for another $70 worth of stuff even though I hadn't received my order as I had no reason to think there were any problems (I thought the post was slow)and I had received a previous order with no problem. Well I was wrong, I just received mail stating that old partners from 4th world were withdrawing funds from the credit card account to pay other bills and that Stuart does not even have the postage money to send our orders! Staurt's instructions were to tell your credit card company that the business you ordered from went into liquidation and try to get a refund, then to send Stuart half of the money for your order *in cash or money order* along with money for postage and he'll send the order out. He stated that this is the only way to get your order now....well, I have already paid for my orders by credit card. There's no way I'm sending even more money with no guarantee I'll ever get anything. This is *really* bad business practice. I have also already paid my credit card bill and I can't get a refund so I may be out $140. I'm really pissed to say the least. Is there some sort of international COD where upon delivery we could pay *the postage charges only*? This would get around the problem of not having postage money to send orders out. I also question that Stuart has money to start a label up and even a new magazine but doesn't have money to send our records/CD's out. Also, the e-mail states that these problems started occurring "3 weeks ago" ...so my question is why have I not received an order from *2 months* ago then?!! The bottom line is I'll be ok with everything when I get: either a refund (highly unlikely) or get the goods I paid for. I think Stuart needs to bite the bullet, send the goods out and take up the issue of the money with his partners, not expact us to pay for goods twice! Until this is resolved I don't see how anyone would want to risk sending any more money to MFR. T.

Just to say i'm also caught up in this mess, and i paid for my order nearly 3 months ago (19th July was when the money was deducted). To be fair to Stuart i got 2 of the cd's i ordered, but i'm still waiting on the other one. His so called fix to the problem is unacceptable to me and probably my cc company to, because i've already received part of the order and the billing is not itemised, so there is no way in differentiating what is exactly owed from my cc companies viewpoint. Also why did he choose to involve us all into his squabbles with his ex-partners?? It would have made much more sense and saved everyone a lot of angst if he honoured his debts to us and then fought over any debts his ex-partners owed him afterwards, leaving us out of his tangled business affairs. It's also ironic that he can't send the cds, 12"s because he's got no money but he has money to setup a record label and maybe publish a zine. Still waiting for Stuart to send me the Skampler i paid for, so long ago. Annoyed, John
