Anyone (stateside) see the commercial for the "Dodge Memorial Day Sales Event" or something along those lines and notice the music bed was significantly similar to "Mr Frosty", track one on mike and rich's "expert knob twiddlers": basically the same _exact_ beat, in addition to the filtered keyboard part, but playing a different, "Dodge-ier" melody...? It's been on plenty of times this weekend, and it's really _too_ close to be random... I don't think I caught that particular ad, but I've seen/heard plenty of similarities between car ads and popular songs. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is a Toyota ad I saw a year or two ago that ripped the melody from Go West, almost note for note, with some _very_ minor alterations. I've also noticed that the drum-n-bass staple breaks seem to be creeping their way into more and more ads, segues between shows, and other short clips on TV. There's even a local radio ad that just blatantly samples the first 30 seconds or so of a track off Logical Progression. (It's one of the bell-laden, whispy intros... oh, they're all like that... oh well. :) wason: Public Enemy- It Takes A Nation Of Millions...
