he's of the jungle lite movement. lighter than goldie, imho (but i don't like goldie either). he's done a few remixes for everything but the girl, bowie, et al. he's pretty wimpy jungle, actually. no like, no recommend. np aphex : cornish acid. * * + * * \|/ * *----]euroboy[----]micah.stupak[----]mjsst87+@pitt.edu[------e-+ * >>bitwise.operators /|\ * * * + i hate anyone who sees me as an illusion of passion.

that would be "circles", wouldn't it? everything that is wrong with drum n bass today wrapped up in one song. god i hate it. die die die die die. wimpy little new agey synthy tinkles over non-chopped-up limp wristed little fast drum beat. makes logical progression look like ed rush. overall i really despise that compilation. anyone who wants my copy can have it for $10, shipped. -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com SpotMedia Communications How the drunk and the maimed both are dragged forward out of the arena like a boneless Christ, one man under each arm, feet dragging, eyes on the aether. Oh, lookie here! Right here on my artcore cd right in front of me, why it's Mr. Adam F. I feel so stupid. I have that cd and I know the song well. That *is* an excellent track. Checkcheckcheckcheckit! Although it is kinda lite jungle. It's pretty good, tho. I think much much better than anything by Goldie. NP: Adam F "Circles" on Artcore 2 -CF

SAW2 is crap for an entirely different reason. i don't understand you at all. you take a whack at me for not liking a wimpy little syrupy jungle record whereas you yourself said not five minutes earlier:

daytime-radio-friendly TOTALLY describes "circles". wait, let me guess, you're just pissing in the pool cos it's fun and trendy. damn, you remind me of me, several years ago. onnow: mantronik - new 12" on omw -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com SpotMedia Communications How the drunk and the maimed both are dragged forward out of the arena like a boneless Christ, one man under each arm, feet dragging, eyes on the aether. I meant daytime-radio-friendly as in badly produced, house derived cheesy vocal jungle that makes me want to shit in someone's breakfast it's that bad. Whether it's hard (which the Chillaz track purports to be) or soft, or syrupy doesn't matter.

No, not quite. You were there attacking a record (which I've not heard, and may indeed be crap) simply for being soft and light, which kind of describes some of the drum'n'bass I like (Bukem, Chameleon) and just to dismiss it as crap because of this, well it stinks to me, and I thought I'd piss in your particular pool for a cheap laugh ;-) Not all jungle has to be jump-up mayhem or techstep cut-up coldness to be good, in just the same way that all techno doesn't have to be demonic gabba-esque banging, which is what I gathered you thought from the tone of your post. Cheerio! NP - The Cough - Wishmountain

a simple misunderstanding then. IMO, the record just plain sucks. the fact that it is syrupy and wimpy is simply a helpful description. :) for the record, i hate most "hard" jungle records too. in fact, i hate just about everything. np: coil - love's secret domain (i don't hate this record. i love it to bits. just in case you were thinking otherwise.) -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com SpotMedia Communications How the drunk and the maimed both are dragged forward out of the arena like a boneless Christ, one man under each arm, feet dragging, eyes on the aether.
