Damon Fairclough 22/01/97 13:49 Techno was invented by the Cleckheaton Methodist Brass Band at a Temperance Supper in June, 1926. It was intended as a gift for the visiting Lord Mayor of Darlington, but instead became a way of life for peoples all over the world. You lot want to be glad that Councillor Albert Ramsbottom and his famous trombone section didn't just keep it for themselves. Damon.
