Techno was invented by the Cleckheaton Methodist Brass Band at a Temperance
Supper in June, 1926. It was intended as a gift for the visiting Lord Mayor of
Darlington, but instead became a way of life for peoples all over the world.
You lot want to be glad that Councillor Albert Ramsbottom and his famous
trombone section didn't just keep it for themselves.
