I know this has failed before but... I am going to attempt to start up an afx/rdj mailing list. As of right now i'm going to be running it through a "free mailing list server" type thing, and its web based, (if anyone has a better solution, let me know) so if you wish to subscribe please send mail to me: "multsanta@aol.com" with the word "subscribe afx" in the header. I will try to keep the list in check with weekly posts of news and such (no, it's not moderated) Plus it may help keep all you rdj-haters on here happy :-) mult. http://members.aol.com/MultSanta

As list admin you'll quickly learn to hope ppl don't send messages to your list with the word "subscr!be" in them. That is if you're using majordomo. Anyhow. Good luck! Teep PS: I'm slowly taking over IDM administrative chores from Brian, stay tuned for a formal announcement including my plans for world domination, etc. (Getting the archives back&operational will be my priority, promise). PPS: Mr. Horne, c'mere I gotta give you a kissy. (re: boweryelectric) On Sat, 6 Sep 1997 MultSanta@aol.com wrote:

No truer words ever spoken... especially when the listowner is smart enough to go and post the WRONG subscr!be address when first announcing (*sound of slapping self in head*) Whereas the for sale maillist I started gets a few posts a day, I get 10-15 just for the above =) Can't imagine a list the size of the idm list =) Chris brap@sonic.net http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ Black Dog, Dot, Genesis P-Orridge, Whitezone-L, etc. C.Gosselin, PO Box 8264, Santa Rosa, CA 95407

It's ironic how you have the same initials as Alan, not only that but everytime I see a post by you out of the bottom of my eye I think it's Mr. Parry's :D __ __\ \ / /_\ \ \_____/ www.freq-div.home.ml.org

Rest assured, we are indeed 2 different people, I know for a fact since we were both @ the blech night in NYC watching Autechre rip (and rip and rip harder). The irony of it does tickle my fancy. My only wish was that when eMpTV was initiated "AMP" they would have contacted Alan and myself and made us the Ed Lover and Dr. Dre (that would be me ;) of Intelligent Dance Music. Anyhow, I finally managed to score my own copy of "perhaps the most underrated drum and bass track of 1997", Johnny L's "PIPER" (on weirdo 12" whitelabel w/only 10" of it pressed w/grooves) and while @ the store was asked if I had heard the remix yet. Can anyone provide info about that? Label (xl?) remixologist (who is the man?). Also, are there any 'serviced' jocks out there who can supply me with information regarding the audio blueprint promo "synet". Greetings from sketchville, Teep (aka the M.F. Baddest Trader Dude You'll EVER Know) np: h.a.t. - rather interesting PS: Boston's perking up for the fall term, tonight @ the western front you can check out 2 of bostons more underrated drum and bass jocks, Bill Crook (who also spins excellent electro) and Lenore. Contact me should you require more information.

Yup! I forgot to make an announcement... eek :) Many many thanks to Teep for taking this over; I'm still handling list bounces for now, until I can work out an automatic solution using qmail.
