yep -- sure it's an old track, but Warp is releasing it this year. that's how they claim copyright. mikebee

Simple. Paroles will be reissued on Warp with a couple Polka Trax, and 3 remixes of the original Paroles track by T Power, Autechre and a Mike Ink 1996 remix. The 12" has been out for a while, and the CD with Polka Trax will be out soon... The first place I saw this track was on Edge Records 008, which was released in 93 or 94. It's the one with a purple label. BTW, shouldn't the copyright be for the original year of publication? -Sho

You misread the liner notes (not hard to do in this case - what an unreadable tracklist!). It's (p) 1996 Warp, no copyright date listed. In other words, Warp may not own the copyright, but they have the (exclusive) right to produce copies of the sound recording as of 1996. Indeed. I think chris knows more about (p) and (c) lines than most of the music industry. On a compilation each track carries a (p) line and then the compilation as a whole is (p) and (c) 'd to the record company. Just in case anyone out there is thinking of producing a compilation :) g.
