Just saw the concert last night here in Washington, DC at the 9:30 club. All I can say is that is was amazing. I think what made the show most appealing was the sequenced light show(about 7 intellibeams) and 2 video screens, not to speak lightly of the music, I just don't think it would have been as interesting with out the lot. Their keyboard layout was pretty much as stated up above except that the alesis products were (6)MMT8 sequencers and a Korg Prophecy & Wavestation. Of course a 909 & 808 midied up and possibly one other drum machine. I have to confer that they were running everything live, sequenced, but live. One was basically triggering sequences while the other manned the massive mixing board. Occasionally they would tweak the various synths(ie 303 filter sweeps) for different effects but not really any live keyboard playing. I have to say the Satan track really caught my attention, very hardcore. The sound system in the club is amazing so the sounds never distorted making for a nearly flawless performance. Overall performace: 2 thumbs up, in the words of Siskel & Ebert(movie critics here in the states) Now to get rid of this nasty case of tunitis(forgive the misspelling).... Ross Volition Inc

this is off topic, but should be a matter of gravest concern for all. tinnintus is not reversible. you have just damaged your ears PERMANENTLY. you have lost a little bit of high-end perception that you will never ever get back. it used to be that i'd go to a show and leave with my ears ringing. now i get treated to it outside of shows - every once in a while i suddenly lose all hearing in my left ear - all i hear is a high pitched ringing tone. this is a symptom of tinnitus, and i will have it for the rest of my life. wear ear plugs to concerts or stand well back from the speakers. way too many sound systems are set up poorly. despite the "cool" attitude of some people, there *is* such a thing as TOO LOUD. if you're worried about looking like a dork, buy a set of custom-molded flesh colored ear plugs. personally i wear huge flourescent green ones and figure that people will think my head is part of the light show or their drug hallucinations. i know you want to be able to enjoy all this wonderful music later on, so take care of your ears now. it's the only chance you will have. sorry to preach, jon onnow: ringing in my left ear, jackhammer working on the street in my right.

I can't agree more. The show will sound better most of the time when your ears aren't being overloaded. Plus you'll be able to hear all the subtleties on your vinyl and CDs when you get home and in the future. Wear earplugs! You only get one pair of ears. --Mark On Tue, 9 Jul 1996, Jon Drukman wrote:
