well, I don't know how much "electro-credit" I give them, but they were one of my first fave synth-pop acts. "Enola Gay" was beautiful to me 10 years ago...Have I revealed too much? __Karl

Sure, maybe a couple of points, but... one of those albums, the one that's all orange, I believe, has the first occurance (to me) of that submarine "ping" sound that has turned up in Grid records, and KLF records, and a whole pile of other records circa 1990-92. Is this THE source for that sound, or is it some keyboard preset, or something?

I have a tape of a Radio 1 Kraftwerk special (thanks to Matt MacQueen & rww3) where the presenter spent a fair amount of time talking to Andy McCluskey (I think.) He talked about how huge an influence Kraftwerk was on them. -d.w. arial tetsuo fan club
