What is it with this guy? I have the Kirlian 12" on Sahko which has the rad electroid noodle on it, but I also got a white label from silent (with Kruder/Dorfy, Abe, others) remixing some housy diva song that flat sucked. Is most of his stuf the Detroity/Outlander trance or what? Drop me some science... eh

Abe Duque collaborates with Dietrich Schoenemann as Facil on Instinct Records. He has just come out on Instinct's 10th ambient monthly release, titled "The Super Secret Symphony." He also did some programming/performing of the tb-303 for The Shedding's song on Instinct's Analog Heaven compilation. I like what I've heard so far. --Bill

Well, letsee, Abe Duque has his own label called Tension records. They're out of Hollis, QUEENS! The label has been around for roughly two years now and has at least 8 releases that I can think of to it's name. There are also sub-labels called Rancho-Relaxo (dedicated for more interesting electronic doodling) and Hollis Haus (take a wild guess). Abe's style varies greatly. He bangs the cid on some releases, but goes in *completely* difierent directions in another. He's even done some remixes for Program 2 (Una, if I'm not mistaken). I believe the release with Sahko was part of an exchange program where the Sahko folks released a record on Tension and in return, Abe would release a record on Sahko. Highly recommended if your thing is minimal strips of music dropped into black space. : ) In any case, I've been waiting two years for him and his label to "blow up" in a big way. All he needs is a little something I can't put my finger on. Speaking of good new labels, anyone pick up the new Ersatz record? Beautiful, analoguesque sounds. Two for two. imout, sashainboston
