I assume you mean "Absolute Time"--or is there another one out? I find Absolute Time a bit of a let-down after the wonderful "Beginning to Understand". For one thing, it's a lot dancier (to such an extent that I wonder if Vogel didn't specifically design it this way just because it's a Tresor release.) Anyway, it's sort of hardhousey, not awfully dense, but it has its moments. Nowhere near as good as B.t.U. I actually wrote a full review of it and have misplaced it. Ah well. Ashok

No shit. BtU is up there in the ranks of new techno, exploring areas left covered by most (except, say, Hy-Ryze). Even though it's a bit on the fouronthefloor tip, EVERYTHING else I've heard from him has been poo poo techno-house of the generic sort. Was BtU just an aberration, a result of some curious inspiration gleaned from working with Mille Plateaux? Or was it so good that he's just coasting now? eh
