Well, I'd say that judgement of SAWII as being a "flop" depends on your
point of view. In Sire's view, it was a "flop" because it only sold about
10,000 copies... However, smaller labels which license material such as
TVT/Wax Trax!, Instinct and Astralwerks are happy with such an amount.
This is what they expect and they prepare for it accordingly, thus they
can do this profitably. However, Sire, a company accustomed to
mainstream sales numbering 10-50 times what SAWII sold, is less likely to
do this sort of thing in the future. However, their failure probably
won't affect whether Instinct licenses more Rising High or Visible
licensing Barramundi for that matter...
Although I wouldn't say Spanners will be released domestically in a
prompt and timely manner, I would guess that *eventually* you'll be able
to pick it up cheap in the States.
