I don't know if this is out of place on this list, but I would say that it's pretty easy to say that Mo 'Wax is strictly groove. I don't really think it has anything to do with IDM, but it is impressive. I think DJ Shadow's release was a little bit different than the rest of their output, probably making it the biggest commercial success. Everything else could be categorized as funk/jazz/soul/latin/hip-hop all rolled into an ambiguity called acid jazz.
