I was always pretty sure that both Kompakt and Beatport used DRM... or at least that they both "stated" that they did ?!?! eMusic downloads are DRM-free the last time I read the blurb/FAQ... The mind sometimes has to boggle - I'd only ever use iTunes as an absolute and utter last resort, when you take into consideration that a large amount of the music (not all mind) that would appeal to me often times shows up on eMusic... an example from the last month would be Isolée's Western Store - €9.99 at iTunes for a 128kbps AAC encoded release ; 11 download credits at eMusic cost one the equivalent of €1.50 ! Conscience clear, DRM-free, and LAME. |---------+----------------------------> | | Karajabola | | | <karajabola@gmail| | | .com> | | | | | | 29/03/2006 11:55 | | | | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: IDM List <IDM@hyperreal.org> | | cc: | | Subject: Re: [idm] idm] People who still pay for music shout-out... | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Just for clarification, which of these services use DRM or other protection?
