Badorb(.com) was a series of limited releases on Vinyl with accompanying T-shirt and Coffee Mug. The music was often excellent and the releases very hard to come by - specifically that only those copies that were ordered got pressed. So if 200 people ordered the first release then only 200 were pressed etc. The releases came with a certificate of authenticity and all. I signed up for a subscription and got the entire series as well as a couple T-shirts. The whole thing was a great concept but from day one there were problems. First the website was released before it was properly functioning. Then once released it was impossible to navigate through and emails to support were cryptically responded to by "Garphoo". Orders were delayed for ages or misplaced altogether. Finally the operation was shut down for good with the following message: http://elists.resynthesize.com/idm/2002/08/545782/ Shimone/Justes http://www.staticbeats.com Electronic Music > Digital Culture --- Jonathan Ackerman <jonathan.ackerman@gmail.com> wrote:
