yeah, the aesop rock seems kind of enigmatic. my thoughts were that, now that his music's on Tony Hawk Pro Skater and everything, he was sort of sabatoging his own career - releasing something that's purposely cryptic and unfriendly. Now, since he's sufficently alienated his 'mainstream' audience, only the true fans will follow his music, making him cool & obscure again. of course, this is kind of absurd from the perspective of trying to make money and run a business - maybe he was just feeling the noisy stuff right then.
