winamp 2 is great, as you know. winamp 3 was a bloated crock of poop. winamp 5 is an attempt to marry the two together (2+3=5), supposedly the backend of 2 with the frontend of 3. so supposedly stable, uses winamp 2 AND 3 plugins (which was a big thing for me as winamp 3 didnt use the winamp 2 plugins i needed), and nicer interface / better skinning capabilities / video support etc. i dunno. i tried it and thought it was fine, though one of the winamp 2 plugins i use doesn't skin properly with it, so i'm stuck on winamp 2 also. it seemed to work fine and has some nice default skins / skinning capability (not least supports cleartype if your OS does). so give it a try, you can always uninstall it. david (fwiw, ogg support is just a plugin in winamp, so you can use it as though you were playing mp3 files too) At 15:19 04/01/2004, you wrote:
