How much more of our freedom are we going to lose over the next few years do you think?
I moved back to the US last fall after ten years living in Asia, I missed a lot of things from home and was looking forward to enjoying the electronic music scene here in California...seems like the USA is getting more and more like China everyday however! Both governments talking about rooting out 'evildoers' and 'hooligans' and whatnot,
spying on their own citizens, encouraging people to report on each other, imprisoning people without trial or trying them in secret...and the witch hunts continue...
You know, my friends in Beijing have played at a number of raves on the Great Wall just outside of the city, with the knowledge and approval of the police (who are carefully paid off in advance of course) -- but we can't put on dance parties in our nation's capital, world center of freedom that it is and all?! WTF is that all about?
