Great, please let the list know if he replies, seeing as you've got
everyone so worked up!
I hang out with some pretty hardcore feminist types (including many who've
known of this artist for several years now) none of whom have ever
expressed any concerns over his name. Further, my girlfriend at the time
Fez first released Beatwife was a victim of serious domestic abuse over
many years, yet also never expressed any concerns whenever the name came
up.
Finally, The Panzi Foundation is a hospital & charity in the Congo
providing medical & support care to victims of 'rape as a weapon' & other
horrifics...it's a very worthwhile cause. I thought it might interest you
as a positive way to use your obviously strong feelings...
Excuse the scrappy nature of this response, I'm jetlagged & without sleep.
