Besides DJing I'm also a graduate student at the University of Hong
Kong...I'm currently writing a thesis about the influence of the
Internet on the development of musical styles and I've got a question
about the IDM list...
I am only a newcomer to this list myself, but I understand that it has
existed for quite awhile.
What I'm interested in is -- does anyone feel that the existence of this
list has affected the development of IDM music? If so, how?
I would especially interested to hear from IDM artists on the list who
feel that their own work has been influenced by the list or by their use
of the Internet in general.
Thanks in advance to anyone who's got time to reply...I appreciate it.
