First of all, my panties are not in a bunch. I simply chose not to use
the programs myself, and feel like I should warn others since the authors
rarely do.
I'm okay when the author makes it known before installation (preferably
not at the bottom of the license agreement that nobody reads) that the
method he or she is going to use to pay for the software is to have the
installation program install a trojan horse into my computer, but most
people don't warn about the spyware programs which is why they are so
effective in the first place.
