i've had the album a few weeks, and i like it quite a bit, although
it's not super exciting. it's not 'challenging' to listen to, but it
has some nice melodies and there's a fair amount of variety from
track to track. i wouldn't classify it as ambient, really.
it's been in my car cd changer for a week or so along with
'are you that retail snob' by aspen, and tim tetlow's
'beauty walks a razor's edge.' all very nice. i'd recommend all
of them.
for reference, i like all of the following a lot, in pretty much
all of their various incarnations: bola, autechre, plaid,
monomorph, boards of canada, aphex twin...
