I love the label, but the description on the site doesn't seem that exciting to me, and as they don't have any samples up (yet?), I can't find out for myself. > > I guess I'm just wondering if I'm missing something new and amazing or if it's just more in line with some of the less interesting ambient stuff they've released...
i've had the album a few weeks, and i like it quite a bit, although it's not super exciting. it's not 'challenging' to listen to, but it has some nice melodies and there's a fair amount of variety from track to track. i wouldn't classify it as ambient, really. it's been in my car cd changer for a week or so along with 'are you that retail snob' by aspen, and tim tetlow's 'beauty walks a razor's edge.' all very nice. i'd recommend all of them. for reference, i like all of the following a lot, in pretty much all of their various incarnations: bola, autechre, plaid, monomorph, boards of canada, aphex twin... -rachel --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
