he's a guy with a fair amount of traditional music skills, and
probably plays keyboard well enough to play most of it in real time.
probably it's recorded live in bits and pieces, and then edited. it
doesn't sound step recorded to me, for the most part.
whereas that Flanger album i just got (forget the title, it's the one
where they cover Miles Davis' "So What")...those jazz keyboards
really sound like someone who can't play jazz piano using MIDI to
build something that approximates the effect.
