Just to nitpick - it's _Money Jungle_ (Blue Note 1962) and everyone
should own a copy. African ryhthms had been in use in jazz (and rhythm &
blues) since the early days ... they aren't exclusive to any one
performer.
And what exactly has Darren Knott (DK, I assume) been up to of late. He
remixed "Timber" for Coldcut/Hexstatic (probably the best mix on the ep -
don't hear that too often when Kirk DeGiorgio contributes as well) and
seemed to disappear soon after.
