saw kid koala/amon tobin friday night at the fox in boulder, co. just
wanted to emphasize: if you have any interest in watching a smiling,
immensely likable young man tear shit up on four turntables, you should
probably try to see this. KK dropped several tricks i hadn't seen before
(an amazing scrambled trumpet solo comes to mind), and just generally
entertained the hell out of me. some might be interested to hear about one
particular highlight: he (and a talented sidekick, "p love") recreate the
entirety of scratchcratchratchatch live on stage. it was jaw-droppingly...
yeah.
amon tobin was good too, if you're into that sort of evil-yet-funky
dnb thing. i'm not familiar with his stuff, and i didn't stick around long
enough to say more about it.
more posts about drugs please, they're about the only thing i find
interesting on this list anymore. and if you don't like a particular
subject, for god's sake, don't respond to it. *poof* 99% on-topic
idm-list.
