dear unhappy lucky kitchen fans, we are currently doing the best we can in trying times to accomodate those interested in our records. without going into a long explanation concerning matters related to lucky kitchen, please understand we are relocating to the UK as we type. it and a few other matters has caused us a few problems, but we are back on our feet and ready to get back to focusing on lucky kitchen. a few problems which have made contact with us difficult include our recent internet service provider switch and our new physical address. you can get our new address on our website which is finally back online. lucky kitchen is a small label run by 3 people who live 3000 miles apart from one another. as a result of an unusual number of irregular circumstances we were temporarily unable to provide quick response to individual orders. this is no longer a problem and you should have no problem reaching us and we will have no further problems attending to our customers. we have sold approximately 2300 records in about 1 years time. there have been relatively few problems but we admit there have been a few glitches in some transactions. the majority of our sales were direct individual orders, totalling over 1000 packages that we have sent out since august 1998. unfortunately, we have and do make mistakes, and we are more than happy to rectify our problems as best we can with anyone who has an issue with us, because satisfying anyone interested in our records is our number one priority. we are currently only selling direct to distributers so as to avoid any further complications. please contact us at: lk@luckykitchen.com if you have a looming issue with us please contact us as we have every intention to makeup for any shortcomings. we are glad that this was brought to the attention of the list so that we can not only address it ourselves, but more importantly clear up any problems that have yet to be sorted. in terms of lucky kitchen family audio records, we are sorry to say they sold out several months back. we did the best we could to contact those who sent checks to tell them we were unable to meet the demand for the only 115 records we had, but it is possible not everyone was contacted. these records were extremely limited and sold out before the records even arrived from new zealand. we are now fully aware we need to make more than a hundred copies of our records, and have worked out a better way to deal with handling orders. in the future these sorts of problems will not be an issue because we will not deal direct with customers, it has proved to be more overwhelming than we could handle to deal directly with what has already reached 1000 individual orders. the big problem has been accomodating individual orders in addition to our distributers because we never knew how many people were going to want our records, and we have always underestimated the demand. in addition, we do handmake all of our packaging and there is only a limited amount we can actually physically make due to time and exhaustion restrictions. we have appreciated and enjoyed the support of our customers, and hope to re-establish our reputation by not only setting things straight, but ensuring these sorts of matters will never come up again. running this label has been an absolute joy and we have every intention of keeping it running for a long time to come, therefore an open account is the only way to deal with any accusations of our business practices. thanks for your time, apologies for having to make a public spectacle of our situation. we hope you will have faith in us, because we don't want to let anyone down ever again. for those interested in our lineup of future projects: we expect the "tourist" seven inch will be back from the grammophone (czech) record plant in a few weeks time. there will be 500 copies of this record. included on this record is: tom (tom records), aerospace soundwise, jansky noise, alejandra & underwood, suetsu, and a group improve. the lucky kitchen lk001 remix project is almost ready to be sent off for manufacturing with new tracks by: i-sound, andre estermann, keith whitmann, alejandra & underwood, jan (electric sheep), to rococo rot, nick birmingham, aerospace soundwise, pimmon, jansky noise, horse opera, satchiko m and more! the kitchen sink cd-r label has announced a release date for it's first record by qwerty which will be oct 1, anyone awaiting this record, look in your postbox the first week of october. love, daniel, aeron & sandra lucky kitchen
