According to the insanely detailed unofficial SNL site
www.saturday-night-live.com, Sun Ra appeared on May 20, 1978 - the final
show of the 77/78 season. The Comedy Network up here repeats old SNLs a
couple of times a day, Jeff, so you may be able to catch it sometime. I
don't know if they show them in order, but the last one I caught a couple
of weeks ago was from the mid 80s (the Murphy/Piscopo/etc. years).
