Komet is Bretschneider; some of the earlier albums may
have had other members (or am I thinking of Produkt,
another Rastermusic group?).
Generally speaking, Komet is Frank getting funky and
expansive; the tracks on Komet's releases typically
stretch out for a much longer duration than those on
_Rand_. That said, Komet's music is still minimal
and has some of the same clicky/twitchy insectoid sounds heard on
_Rand_. Check out Komet's _Flex_ for what I think is
some of Bretschneider's best material. Frank's also on
the following highly recommended comps: _Clicks+Cuts_
(Mille Plateaux) and _Microscopic Sound_ (12k).
