Umm I sent this message yesterday, but it didn't appear in any of the digests I received and there was no reply to it so I'm gonna post it again. I apologize if you've already seen this. This for those of you out there who really and truly enjoy the kind of IDM that can't really be danced to, the kind of music that exists solely for the purpose of being listened to. My questions to you is: Why do you enjoy the music? What is it about the music that attracts you and holds your attention? Why would you rather be listening to bleeps, blops, and whatever, instead of say Kid Rock, Brittany Spears, or . . . dare I say it?!? . . . (well I already committed sacrilege twice already so here it goes) Fatboy slim? Also, for those of you on the list who really and truly enjoy the extremely experimental stuff, I'm especially interested to hear what you have to say on this topic. BTW: I'm not implying anything with these questions, I'm just really interested in peoples individual experience when it comes to IDM. If you decide to reply to this post, include in your post what kind of IDM related style you prefer (i.e. straight up IDM <aphex, squarepusher>, experimental, or minimalist) TIA --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
