then be sure to check out my own fave reinhard-releases
under the guise 'kron',
esp. the lp's 'gold und liebe' and 'silikron'.
more in the pop direction with a mellow feel, not stripped down.

the names you have in mind might be 'pentax' on profan,
and 'sturm' on mille plateaux?
i never got warm with pentax. too sterile.
the first sturm cd (mp60) is great (gas-like tones of big bells),
the 12" is ok but not that different,
the 'sturmgesten'-cd should have been a 4-track-12".
maybe it's just me, but i don't get it.
very little progression during the 5min tracks if any.
(and i looove gas, btw)
