Warp have always stated that they will stick to their "100% independent"

Yeah, I think that would've been the Aphex deal. See above. Warp won't sign
as a 'sub-label'.

I disagree. The recent release line-up (Plaid, Squarepusher, Aphex, Ae) was
one of their strongest yet. And you know that Rob and Steve won't be
sitting on their arses, waiting for the latest Ae or Aphex DAT to roll-in -
they're still hunting for new artists and have a few interesting things
lined-up that some of you IDM'ers might well be into. Give them time - I
reckon they deserve it.

The Klute remix on the flip? Didn't sound like Photek - in fact I thought
it was pretty bunk. The Ae remix is tops though. The beats sound like a
break but it seems like its all fucked-up white noise crunch. My only
quibble with it is that they do that kind of now-standard Ae thang of
slowly introducing those fractured, almost unconnected background chords
and then at the end, drop the beat leaving the weird chords on their own.
But the beats are damn excellent.
